Newbury’s new Event Manager is staging her first event next week, when animal lovers will be invited to feed and pet sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, ponies and tortoises. Children will also have the chance to learn how to milk a cow.
Vets from The Falkland practice in Newtown Road will also be offering free advice to pet owners and the Drove Veterinary Hospital is offering discounted micro-chipping for dog owners ready for the summer holidays. There’ll also be a dog behaviourist in attendance to sort out any canine problems.
A colouring competition will be judged by local toyshop, Toycraft who will donate the prizes.
Caroline Paus, who took up the post of Event Manager, last week said “The event is free and I hope it will capture the interest of parents and children on half term holiday.”
